The announcement follows a security incident last night in which two drones were shot down by air defence systems after they were detected loitering near Faizabad. Following the incident, reports circulated claiming that Islamabad’s airspace had been closed.
However, the PAA later clarified that reports about the closure of Islamabad’s airspace were baseless and said flight operations at Islamabad International Airport were continuing without interruption.
The authority also urged the public not to rely on unverified or misleading reports and advised citizens to follow official sources for accurate information regarding flight operations.
